A DRINK-DRIVER has been handed a hefty fine after he was caught in Hereford while over the limit.
Matthew Forder entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on April 3.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 25-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a red Alfa Romeo Mito near his home in Lichfield Avenue in Hereford while over the limit on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 85 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This exceeded the legal limit, which is 35 mg.

Forder, of Lichfield Avenue, Hereford, who was represented by Chris Read, was fined £250 and disqualified from driving for 40 months.
He has the opportunity to complete a drink-driving awareness course by August 26, 2026, which would reduce his ban by 40 weeks.
He must also pay costs of £135 and a £100 victim surcharge.
