IT makes perfect sense to build a new Lidl in Hereford’s Belmont Road.

Lower income families can shop without worrying about cost. Fresh produce is better quality. Room in aisles to shop instead of pickers and cages.

For years Tesco was the place to go, but now the standards have dropped. Shelves are not stocked, too many pickers for home orders in the aisle chatting.

Limited choice of goods and prices. Queuing at the checkout (some prefer dealing with people, not a machine).

People comment on the parking and traffic. It won’t affect it; it’s McDonald’s that causes the problem and too many traffic lights. When the lights don’t work, traffic flows.

It will create more employment for the area and allow choice.
